General Terms and Conditions

• The customer must ensure that all items are packed securely in boxes or foil. Fragile items should be packed to withstand transport and therefore prevent damage.
• The number of hours worked starts when the movers leave the moving company premises (a maximum of 30 minutes from the move address).
• The total costs of the move must be paid in cash directly to the movers following the relocation.
• A minimum advance payment of €75,00 must be paid within 3 working days prior to the relocation date. Rabobank account number X in Hilversum.
• The maximum distance between the old location and the new one should be no more than 30 kilometres. Otherwise, a kilometre rate of €0,88 applies.
• An additional charge of 25% of the weekly rates is charged for relocations on Saturday.
• An additional charge of 75% of the weekly rates is charged for relocations on Sunday.
• To ensure a smooth move, we recommend using a moving team of at least 4 people, including 1 or 2 of your own helpers.
• The customer is personally responsible for any damage that occurs if a ramp must be used, if the road contains unanticipated and/or hidden manhole or drain covers or loose gravel, if trees, bushes and/or other obstacles create a barrier or if there are protruding advertising poles, panels or signs, troublesome cables, pipes or outdoor lighting.
• The moving company is not liable for any damage to windows, façades, balconies and/or window railings that are in poor condition or of inferior quality or any unstable mounting mechanisms.
• Any assembly and/or disassembly work that will be required must be reported when reserving a move.
• The relocation price does not include the packing and unpacking of moving boxes, unless this has been specifically agreed with the customer.
• Additional charges to the basic rates are charged for moving upright pianos, grand pianos, aquariums, waterbeds, safes or other unusually large items. Prices on request: call +31 35 628 46 87.
• Any furniture placed in the moving van by someone who does not work for the moving company is not insured.
• The interior lift should be operational at the time of the move and available to the movers.
• The use of the interior lift is at the risk of the customer. Stairwells are only used if no other possibility exists or on the directions of the moving company. The moving company is always exempt from any liability for damage to stairwells.
• The moving company can never be held liable for any material or physical damage inflicted on or by the customer or on or by his or her helpers or any other person, even if the damage in question takes place during collaboration between an employee of the moving company and the customer and/or his or her helper(s).
• The customer must check his or her furniture, building and other items for damage in the presence of the movers. Any damage must be specified on the relocation document in the presence of the movers. All liability is null and void once the movers leave.
• A deductible of €150 is charged for every move.
  • All rates are based on a 24 cubic metre moving van (24 cubic metres is approximately the same size as 48 washing machines). If the advice service calculates a larger volume, a larger moving van will be required, for which an additional charge applies. A large-size moving van costs an additional €125,00 (loading volume more than 40 m3).
